Once, my former boss asked me to find the ‘dial by name’ keypad feature in the Fanvil and Yealink phones, and I informed him that only the Alcatel phone has this feature. However, this organization already purchased four thousand units of Fanvil IP phones before I joined them. My ex-boss was surprised and asked me why there were so many problems with these phones. I could not answer him, but I worked to resolve all the phone issues to the best of my, all the while thinking that the damage had already been done since the organization had purchased these devices.
